Privacy Policy
Tickr · Last updated June 24, 2026
Tickr is a market prediction tracking app built and operated by Vishnu Krishnamurthy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — used solely for authentication. We use Supabase Auth (magic link / OTP) to verify your identity.
- Prediction data — the market predictions you log: asset, direction, confidence, reasoning text, entry price, resolution price, and outcome. This data is tied to your account and stored in our database.
- App preferences — your profit goal is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is never sent to our servers.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To store and display your predictions and analytics
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform. Data is protected by row-level security — you can only access your own predictions. Supabase's infrastructure is hosted on AWS.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — authentication and database (privacy policy)
- Yahoo Finance — used to fetch asset prices. No personal data is sent to Yahoo Finance.
- Expo / EAS — used to build and distribute the app (privacy policy)
Children's Privacy
Tickr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
